What's the best part of fall in upstate New York

When I say Upstate New York, I don't mean Westchester. I mean Utica, Syracuse, Oswego, Rome, Albany, Lake George, Old Forge, Inlet, etc. (otherwise: REAL UPSTATE New York!).

Upstate New York is known for many great special events. There are fall festivals, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, train rides through the woods, hiking, kayaking, some of the best apples in the country, fresh hot cider donuts, but one of the absolute best parts of fall in upstate New York is the the great show nature provides for us. The colorful leaf display. I'm attaching a few, very basic cell phone, pictures of the views we get to see for weeks. Every day on the way to and from work, we get to see changing colors, the brilliance of nature in it's full glory. It's a feast for the eyes as much as those cider donuts are a feast for the taste buds!
