Welcome Spring! Check out these buds and their changes over time.

It's so early, but the buds are getting ready to pop. Taken March 26. Utica, New York.

This was taken 1 week later. A different bud unfortunately, but the same tree. The leaves are just starting to break out. April 2, 2016, Utica, New York.

It's been another week. It's April 9th, 2016.  We had a return to winter in upstate New York, so there hasn't been a huge difference in the buds, but if you look closely, you'll see the brown outer protective leaves are mostly gone and the green bumps are definitely larger, even though we've had snow multiple days this week.
